Adding a Place Holder Activity to be Replaced Later

 

To add a place holder activity to be replaced later, complete the following steps:

1. Check out and open the process.
   
   
2. In the Toolbox pane, click BPM. A list of activities is displayed.
   
   
3. Double-click or drag the Activity Placeholder into the process.
   
   
4. Link the activity appropriately to other activities. You configured an Activity Placeholder to reserve a position in your process for a future activity. The Activity Placeholder requires no additional configuration, but you can use it to set data item values via Data Item Assignments, if necessary.
