To create a connection to a SharePoint site, you must first create a SharePoint System Resource. The SharePoint System Resource is located in a Sharepoint site is a SharePoint system resource. SharePoint is a platform where users can share information with others, manage projects from start to finish, and publish reports to help stakeholders make effective decisions.
To create a new SharePoint system resource, complete the following steps:
- Check out the solution.
- Click the Create tab. The Solution Items ribbon menu is displayed.
- Click New Resource. A drop-down list is displayed.
- Select SharePoint System Resource. The SharePoint System Resource window is displayed.
- In the SharePoint System Resource name field, type a name for the new SharePoint Resource.
- In the SharePoint Site URL field, select an editor and set the field to the SharePoint site URL. The format should start with http:// or https:// and should not include any specific pages. For example, http://sharepoint.company.com/intranet points to a site called intranet on the company’s SharePoint server.
- From the Credential Type options, select Integrated Credentials or Define Credentials.

If you select Integrated Credentials, then you are working in a sandbox environment/server with SharePoint, Bluespring BPM5, and the SharePoint and Bluespring databases installed. Additionally, you have given the Local System Account access to SharePoint. The Bluespring SharePoint and Task services use Local System by default, because that is the service's Log On User account (Start > Administrative Tools > Services). If you are not using an all-in-one, sandbox environment, then use Define Credentials.
RECOMMENDED: If you select Define Credentials, type the appropriate username, password, and domain, in the corresponding fields. The Password field is encrypted. After you save, check in, and close the solution item. The credentials can be made dynamic by using values stored in data items.

- Click the save button. You created a new SharePoint System Resource.
