About
Processes are the core components of BPM Suite. A process needs to include at least one activity, apart from the Start and End activities, to be complete and valid.
To create a process, complete the following steps:
Check out the solution.
Click the
Create
tab. The
Solution Items
ribbon menu is displayed.
Click
New Process
. The
Process
screen is displayed. The
Start
and
End
activities are displayed in the
Process
screen.
Note:
You can also create a process in the
Solution Explorer
pane by right-clicking
Process
and selecting
New Process
.
In the
Process Name
field, type a name for the process.
Note:
If you want to add a description, click the drop-down arrow in the
Process Name
field. In the
Description
field, type a description for the process.
From the
Toolbox
pane, click and drag an activity to the process. The activities are displayed in the
Process
screen.
Note:
The
Start
activity and the other initiators are the only activities that do not have activities which link to them. The
End
activity is the only activity that does not link to another activity.
Connect the
Start
activity to the new activity by clicking the handle in the middle of the
Start
activity and dragging the mouse pointer over the middle of the new activity.
Note:
You can also drag the new activity over the
Start
activity until you see it draw a shaded link. When you see the link, release your mouse button.
Connect the new activity to the
End
activity by clicking the handle in the middle of the new activity and dragging the pointer over the middle of the
End
activity.
Note:
You can also drag the
End
activity over the new activity until you see it draw a shaded link. When you see the link, release your mouse button.
Click the save button. You created a process with one activity.
