Delaying a Process for an Interval of Time

To insert a Delay Process activity and delay for an interval of time, complete the following steps:

  1. Check out and open the process.

  2. In the Toolbox pane, click BPM. A list of activities is displayed.

  3. Double-click or drag the Delay Process activity into the process.

  4. Link the activity appropriately with other activities.

  5. Right-click the Delay Process activity. A shortcut menu is displayed.

  6. Select View Properties. The Delay Process window is displayed.

  7. Click the Delay tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  8. Select the Delay for an Interval of Time option. The fields are enabled.

  9. In the Months, Days, Hours, and Minutes fields, select the relevant field editor and set the field to the number of months, days, hours, and minutes, respectively. The numbers should be integers and you do not have to provide values for all fields if the value will be 0.

  10. Click OK. You configured a Delay Process activity for an interval of time.
