Determine the URL for your request

To determine the URL for an HTTP request, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. In the Toolbox pane, click Internet. A list of activities is displayed.

  3. Double-click or drag the Submit HTTP Request activity into the process.

  4. Link the activity appropriately with other activities.

  5. Right-click the Submit HTTP Request activity. A shortcut menu is displayed.

  6. Select View Properties. The Submit HTTP Request window is displayed.

    Note:
    You can also open or view the activity properties by double-clicking the activity in the process.


  7. Click the Web Resource tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  8. In the HTTP System Resource field, select the appropriate System Resource that contains the base URL to which you wish to make an HTTP request.

  9. In the Relative URL section, enter the value for the URL, relative to the HTTP System Resource you selected.

  10. Click OK. You configured the URL for an HTTP Request can now configure the request header or map the request response to data items. See the corresponding activity topics for details.
