Push Files to a FTP server

 

To upload a file to a FTP server via FTP, complete the following steps:

1. Check out and open the process.
   
   
2. In the Toolbox pane, click Internet. A list of activities is displayed.
   
   
3. Double-click or drag the FTP Put File activity into the process.
   
   
4. Link the activity appropriately with other activities in the process.
   
   
5. Right-click the FTP Put File activity. A shortcut menu is displayed.
   
   
6. Select View Properties. The FTP Put File window is displayed.
   
   
7. Click the FTP Server tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.
   
   
8. In the FTP Directory field, select the appropriate System Resource that contains the connection information for the FTP server which contains the file you are trying to retrieve.
   
   
9. Select the Transfer Mode you wish to use for transferring files via FTP
   
   
10. Click the Files To Put tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.
    
    
11. You have the option to upload files using a collection of file names or by using individual rows to contain file names. To use the collection data item for retrieval, select the Select Collection Data Item check box. The first field contains the name of the collection data item that you will use with this selection. The second field contains the data item in the collection that will be used to store the name of the file to retrieve. Click on the Key icon to enter authentication credentials for the FTP server.
    
    
12. To retrieve multiple files without using a collection, select the Select the Select Non Collection Data Item check box and select the appropriate input field editor and the set the field to a value that is a file name. Click on the Key icon to enter authentication credentials for the FTP server.
