The Takt Analysis worksheet answers the question ‘How capable are the activities in the process of meeting the demand placed upon them?’.  To answer this question, ProcessView compares duration and process time to takt time.  Duration is the amount of elapsed time required to complete an activity or process; ProcessTime is the actual work time required to complete an activity.  The takt time represents the amount of time that may be taken to complete an activity or process to meet the pace of demand.  Comparison of duration and process time to takt time describes an activity’s capability to satisfy demand.

Note that this worksheet only provides the ‘per execution’ process time.  To review the ProcessTime per Item for the activities in the process flowchart, use the ProcessTime worksheet of the Detailed Analysis Report.
