Adding a Group Parent Element to a Child Element

Since group elements are the only types of elements that can contain child elements, you can only add a group element as a parent element.

To add a parent to a child, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the data model you want to edit.

  2. In the Data Model window, right-click the child element to which you want to add a group parent element. A shortcut menu is displayed.

  3. Select Add Parent. A shortcut menu is displayed.

  4. Select Group Element. The new parent is displayed to the left of the child element.

  5. Click the save button. You added a group parent element to a child element in a data model.
