About
You add an additional starting point to a process if you want to provide alternate starting points for test purposes, third party process initiation, or error handling rollback points.
To add an additional starting point to a process, complete the following steps:
Check out and open the process you want to edit.
In the
Toolbox
pane, click
Process Initiation
. A list of initiators is displayed.
Double-click or drag the
Start
activity into the process.
Link the activity to the relevant child activity.
Rename the new Start activity appropriately.
Note:
Each activity must have a unique name, so you cannot have two activities named Start. As a best practice, it will be better to clearly name why each Start activity is being used instead of using only a number to differentiate the activities.
Click the save button. You added an additional starting point to a process.
