About
You can allow the process engine to automatically determine which parent process data items to populate when a child process completes. This enables you to set parent process data item values upon completion of the sub-process.
To automatically determine the parent process data items to populate, complete the following steps:
Check out and open the process.
Double-click and view the start subprocess activity properties in the process that you previously configured and now want to edit.
Click the
Output Mappings
tab. The
Output Mappings options
are displayed.
Select the
Automatically Map Data Items
check box.
Note:
If the
Manually Map Data Items to Column Fields
check box is also checked, then those mappings will override any automatic mappings the Process Engine finds.
Click
OK
. You configured the activity to automatically set parent process data items to populate when the subprocess is complete.
