Start Subprocess

 

The Start Subprocess activity enables you to start a process within a process. With this activity you can map data item values between the parent and child process and start multiple instance of a child process simultaneously.

The parent process, or the process with the Start Subprocess activity, will not continue until the child process or processes are complete.

The BPM Designer allows you to:

• Starting a Subprocess Synchronously
• Starting Multiple Instances of a Child Process
• Automatically Determining the Subprocess Data Items to Populate when the Subprocess Starts
• Manually Determining the Subprocess Data Items to Populate
• Automatically Determining the Parent Process Data Items to Populate
• Manually Determining the Parent Process Data Items to Populate when a Subprocess Completes
