About
Data items hold and carry information through the solution. Data items can be created at the solution and process levels. Solution-level data items are similar to global variables in development standards. Process-level data items can only be used within the context of the process in which they have been created.
The following are the three types of data items:
Simple Data
This data item can be a
Text, Boolean, Date, Time, Number, Resource, or Duration
value. The data can be formatted, associated with a value list, and given a default value.
Modeled Data
This data item is associated with a data model.
Calculation Data
This data item uses an expression that is evaluated as activities are completed within a process.
