Create a User Account in an LDAP-compliant Directory Service

To create a user account in an LDAP-compliant directory service, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process.

  2. In the Toolbox pane, click Active Directory. A list of activities is displayed.

  3. Double-click or drag the Create LDAP Entries activity into the process.

  4. Link the activity appropriately with other activities in the process.

  5. Right-click the Create LDAP Entries activity. A shortcut menu is displayed.

  6. Select View Properties. The Create LDAP Entries window is displayed.

  7. Click the Directory tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  8. In the LDAP Directory field, click the System Resource editor icon. A drop-down list is displayed.

  9. Select the appropriate system resource. The resource name is displayed in the field.

    Note:
    If your system resource contains a data item in the Design-Time section, click Configuration values and enter a valid connection string for design-time, configuration purposes.
     

  10. Click the Data Mappings: Create Entries tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  11. In the User Account section, select the relevant options from the following:

        Account is disabled
        Password not required
        Password will never expire
        User must change password at next logon
        Account is locked out
        User cannot change password

  12. In the User Name and Password sections, select the relevant input field editor and set the field to a value that corresponds with the data type.

  13. In the Account Expires section, select Never or End of.

    Note: 
    If you select End of, then select the appropriate input field editor, and set the field to a value that is a date at the end of which the account expires.


  14. Click OK. You configured the activity to create a user account in an LDAP-compliant directory service.
