Marking an Incomplete Task as Failed

You also need to set a task to be due on a specific date. For more information on setting a task to be due on a specific date, please refer to the Setting a Task to be Due on a Specific Date topic.   
   
To mark an incomplete task as failed, complete the following steps.
  1. From the Solution Explorer, check out the assignment profile. 

  2. Open the assignment profile.

  3. Click the Due Date tab. The Due Date, Escalations, and Overdue action options are displayed.

    Note:
    The Due after (d.h:m) and Due on fields are optional while marking an incomplete task as overdue and allowing the process continue.


  4. Set the task to be due on a specific date or after a specific duration. Please refer to the corresponding topics for more information on configuring these values.

  5. In the Overdue actions section, select Mark activity as failed.

  6. Click the save button. You marked an incomplete task as failed.
