About
Assignment profiles are used by the Assign Task activity to task a user, a user group, or a queue in a solution.
The following are the types of assignment profiles:
User Assignment Profile
This profile is used to task a specific person or to allow Bluespring to automatically assign a task to a user based on a user’s current BPM work load.
Group Assignment Profile
This profile is used to task a group of people simultaneously. The process continues when a certain number or percentage of users complete the task.
Queue Assignment Profile
This profile is used to create a task for users in a queue, but the task is not assigned to a specific person. Any user in the queue can take the task and complete it.
You can also define task due dates, escalations, and notifications within a profile. When configuring the escalations, you can set the escalation path to follow an organization chart or go to a specific person, group, or queue configured in BPM Designer.
