Setting a Notification to be Sent when a Task is Past Due

To set a notification to be sent when a task is past due, complete the following steps:
  1. From the Solution Explorer, check out the assignment profile.

  2. Open the assignment profile.

  3. Set due dates, escalations and overdue actions. Please refer to the corresponding topics for more information on these topics.

  4. Click the Notification tab. The Notification options are displayed in the workspace.

  5. Select the Past due check box. The Notification Message icon is enabled in the selected field.

  6. Click the Notification icon. A shortcut menu is displayed.

  7. From the shortcut menu, select a notification message. The selected notification message name is displayed in the Assigned field. 

  8. Click the save button. You set a notification to be sent when a task is past due. At runtime, a notification will be sent when a task is past due.
