Assigning a Task to a User

The BPM Designer allows you to assign a task to a specific user within your organization using assignment profiles.

To assign a task to a user in your solution, complete the following steps: 

  1. Check out the solution. 

  2. Click the Create tab. The Solution Items ribbon menu is displayed.

  3. Click New Assignment Profile

    Note:
    You can also create a New Assignment Profile by right-clicking Assignment Profiles in the Solution Explorer. When the shortcut menu is displayed, select New User Assignment Profile.


  4. In the User Assignment Profile name field, type a name for the assignment profile.

  5. In the Assignee tab, select the Select the user to be assigned a task option. The selected field is enabled.

  6. In the Select the user to be assigned a task field, select an editor and set the field to a static or dynamic value. The expected value is a user account in the form of DOMAIN\username.  

  7. Click the save button. You created a user assignment profile used to task a user.
