Protect a Workbook by Setting a Password to Open the Workbook

To protect a workbook by setting a password to open it, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. Open the Write Excel Workbook activity that you previously configured and now want to edit. 

  3. Click the Output File Protection tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  4. Select the Assign Password to the Workbook check box.

  5. In the Assign Password to the Workbook field, select the appropriate input field editor and set the field to a value that is the password to open the workbook.

  6. Click OK. You configured the activity to read values from a password-protected workbook and worksheet.
