Change Task Service Timeout Settings

You can change the Task Service timeout settings within the BPM Admin application. This setting determines how many times the application will attempt to run a scheduled event that continues to error. Additionally you can change the Sweep Timer setting. The sweep timer determines the amount of time that passes between each attempt at running scheduled events.

To turn change the Task Service timeout settings, complete the following steps:

1. Open BPM Admin and select the desired runtime environment on the left pane.

2. Open the Services folder.

3. Select the TaskService option. The center pane will contain the Timeout section which allows you to change the amount of time that the Task Service waits to complete a transaction prior to timing out. This setting is in: Hour(s), Minute(s) or Second(s).

4. Change the Timeout to the desired setting. The default option is 15 minutes. Bluespring recommends that this setting be set to a value no higher than 15.

5. Once you have finished your modifications, press the Save Settings option in the right pane. You have changed the timeout settings.
