Exporting an Image of a Process

You can export the image of a process and store it at an appropriate location. The process image can be exported in common image formats such as .wmf, .png, .jpg, .tiff, and .bmp. Organizations commonly export their process images to include in documentation and training materials. The image can help communicate what the process is doing without requiring users to install and know how to use BPM Designer.

To export a process image, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. In the Data ribbon menu, click Export Image. The Save Process Image window is displayed.

    Note:
By default, the name of the process is displayed in the File name field. You can skip to step 4 if you want to retain the existing file name.

  3. In the File name field, type a file name.

  4. In the Save as type field, click the drop-down arrow and select an image format.

  5. Select a location to save the file.

  6. In the Save Process Image window, click Save. The process image is saved in the specified location.

  7. Click the save button. You exported the image of a process.
