You can change the Schedule Service retry settings for the Scheduling Service within the BPM Admin application. This setting determines how many times the application will attempt to run a scheduled event that continues to error. Additionally you can change the Sweep Timer setting. The sweep timer determines the amount of time that passes between each attempt at running scheduled events. To turn change the Scheduling Service settings, complete the following steps:
1. Open BPM Admin and select the desired runtime environment on the left pane.
2. Open the Services folder.
3. Select the SchedulingService option. The center pane will contain two options; the Retry Count which allows you to indicate how many times the service will attempt to run a scheduled event which continues to error and the Sweep Timer timer setting which controls how long between executions that the Scheduling Service checks for unprocessed events.
4. Change the Retry Count to the desired setting. The default option is 3. Bluespring recommends that this setting be set to a value no higher than 20. Change the Sweep Timer to the desired setting. The default setting is 15. Bluespring recommends that this setting be set to a value no higher than 60.
5. Once you have finished your modifications, press the Save Settings option in the right pane. You have changed the timeout settings.
