Connecting to a Workspace

By default, BPM Admin is configured to connect to the localhost workspace and assumes you have installed BPM Admin on the server hosting the Workspace Server.

To connect to a workspace, complete the following steps:
  1. From the Windows Start button, click All Programs > Bluespring BPM 5 > BPM Admin 5

    Note:
You will receive an error message saying the BPM Admin cannot connect to the localhost workspace if you installed BPM Admin on a server not running the Bluespring Workspace service or is the service uses a port other than 9000. Click OK to close the message.

  2. With the current workspace folder selected in the left pane, locate the Actions in the right pane.

  3. Click Connect to another workspace. The Workspace Connection window opens.

  4. In the Workspace server name field, type the name of the server hosting the Workspace Service.

  5. Change the port, if the workspace service is not running on the default port, port 9000.

  6. Select HTTP or HTTPS from the Protocol field depending on the protocol being used by the workspace service.

    Note:
Choose HTTPS, if they require secure connections.

  7. Click OK. You connected to a workspace.
