Add Custom SMTP Headers to an E-mail

Important StatusThe current page has been customized from its template.
To pass information that you do not want to include in the body of your message, you can consider passing the information in a custom SMTP header. The custom header will be included in the e-mail.

To add a custom SMTP header to an e-mail, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. Double-click or open the Send E-mail activity that you previously configured and now want to edit.

  3. Click the Custom SMTP Headers tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  4. Select the Use Custom Fields in the SMTP Header check box. The Custom headers section is enabled.

  5. In the Field name field, select an appropriate input field editor and set the field to a value that is the name of the SMTP header field.

  6. In the Field value field, select an appropriate input field editor and set the field to the value of the SMTP header.

    Note:
You can add more fields by clicking the plus sign (+). Use the minus sign (-) to remove fields.

  7. Click OK. You configured the activity to include custom header values.
