Selecting Grid Styles and Snapping Activities and Links to the Grid

Use a grid to easily align activities to a grid in your process. Your grid style choices include pixels, dotted lines, and solid lines.

To select Grid Styles, and Snap Activities and Links to the Grid, complete the following steps: 
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. In the Properties ribbon menu, select the appropriate grid style. The selected grid style is displayed in the process.

  3. In the process, select the appropriate activities by dragging the pointer across the activities and links that you want to snap. A bounding outline is displayed around the selected activities.

    Note:
    To select nonadjacent activities, hold down the CTRL key and select the appropriate activities and links that you want to snap.


  4. Click Snap to Grid. The activities and links are aligned to the grid.

    Note:
    To disable snapping of activities into the grid, in the Properties ribbon menu, click Snap to Grid. The highlight is removed.
    To remove or hide the grid, select the None grid style.


  5. Click the save button. You selected a grid style and snapped activities and links to the grid.
