Set a Password for the PDF Recipient to Open and Edit the Document

To set a password for the PDF recipient to open and edit the document, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. Open the Populate PDF Form activity in which you want to set the password.

  3. Click the Security tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  4. From the Document Open Password options, select Assign new password.

  5. In the Assign new password field, select the appropriate input field editor and set the field to a value that is a password for the PDF to open.

  6. From the Permission Password options, select Assign new password.

  7. In the Assign new password field, select the appropriate input field editor and set the field to a value that is a password required to edit the PDF.

  8. Click OK. You set a password for the PDF recipient to open and edit the document.
