Specify the Password for the Process Engine to Open and Populate the PDF

If the PDF document you want to populate is password protected you must specify the password for opening the file or editing the file or both. The process engine will use that password to open and populate the PDF.

To set the password required by the PDF for the Process Engine to open and populate the PDF, complete the following steps:
  1. Check out and open the process you want to edit.

  2. Open the Populate PDF Form activity in which you want to set the password.

  3. Click the Security tab. The corresponding screen is displayed.

  4. Select the Document Open Password check box.

  5. In the Document Open Password field, select the appropriate input field editor and set the field to a value that is the password to open the PDF.

  6. Select the Permission Password check box.

  7. In the Permission Password field, select the appropriate input field editor and set the field to a value that is the password to edit the PDF.

  8. Click OK. You specified the password required by the PDF, for the Process Engine to open and populate the PDF.
