LeanView supports the construction of multi-level value stream maps... Using this powerful capability, VSM work can be broken down to lower levels of detail and low level value stream data can be rolled up to the enterprise or supply chain level.

Multi Level VSM

Once a sub-path has been drawn and recorded, simply open the properties dialog for the summary process shape and select the 'Use Sub Path' option.

How to create a Multi-Level VSM

The following performance data will be pulled from the SubPath Value Stream and written to the process properties: People, Flow Time, Manual Time, Auto Time, % Yield, % VA Processing Time; these input fields will be gray and may not be edited once the link to a SubPath is established.  Note that Normal Production Run and Changeover Time will remain unchanged, and these fields may not be edited once the link to a SubPath is established; Changeover Delays that exists within the SubPath are incorporated into the Flow Time written to the properties of the summary Process shape.  Starts With, Ends With, Stations and Normal Process Quantity will remain as editable user input fields as shown below.
