Creating a User Parameter in an Activity Filter

Within an activity monitor filter, you can create a parameter that allows Users to specify a value to further filter the processes displayed and locate a specific process more quickly.  For example, if you have 250 processes listed in the Today activity filter, 125 for a Marketing Solution and 125 for a Support Solution, you can use a parameter within the activity filter to only display processes from Support.

To create a parameter, complete the following steps:
  1. Open BPM Admin

  2. From the left pane, double-click the Environments folder.  A folder with the name of your runtime environment is displayed.

  3. Double-click the folder with the name of your runtime environment.  The Activity Monitor and Services folders are displayed.

  4. Double-click the Activity Monitor folder.  The center pane displays a list of your Activity Monitors.

  5. Right-click an activity monitor and click Properties.  A window named after the selected filter is displayed.

  6. For a new row of the Filter Criteria, select a field and operator from the Field and Operator columns, respectively.  Refer to Creating an Activity Monitor Filter for details on the available fields and operators.

  7. In the Value column, enter your Parameter Name.

  8. In the User Parameters, enter your Parameter Name in the Name column.

  9. Select a data type for your parameter.  Refer to the following table for details on the available data types:
